Course structure
This course is divided into five modules, which will walk you through the different steps in making your campus sustainable.
- Defining campus sustainability
- Identifying your campus value chain
- Operationalizing sustainability strategies
- Monitoring and communicating campus sustainability
- Synthesis
Each module begins with a video lecture that introduces key concepts. Starting from Module 2, each lecture is followed by the “Sustainability Journey” series—a set of videos demonstrating how these concepts are applied to Ateneo de Manila University. Subsequently, you’ll explore additional videos, podcasts, readings, and interactive activities contributed by our partner universities, which illustrate how these concepts are implemented in various contexts. Through these resources, you’ll discover different approaches that collaborating universities have taken in their own sustainability journeys, providing ideas and inspiration for you to consider within your own context.
The assessments in this course are not intended to test your mastery of terms and concepts. Instead, they focus on applying the concepts you’ve learned. At the end of each module, you’ll receive a prompt for your Module Output, which will guide you to reflect on how to adapt and contextualize these concepts for your university or institution. By the end of the course, you will have developed an initial plan to help make your campus more sustainable.
